Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility

The Banning Police station does not have a jail facility, so if someone you know has been arrested by the Banning Police Department or Riverside Sheriff’s Department in the Banning area, chances are they were taken to the Smith Correctional Facility. The Smith Correctional Facility jail also serves other surrounding communities such as Beaumont and Cabazon. This jail provides back-up for other Riverside County jails. The jail facility is located just south of the 10 freeway off the Hargrave exit. It was originally opened in the 1920's as a road camp for prison road gangs.

If you need help with bail bonds in Banning, we know you’ll want quick and trusted information. A local Banning bondsman can show you how easy it is to have a bond posted at the Smith Correctional Facility (known as the Banning Jail). We are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist you. We can even complete the entire bail process over the phone and email/fax.  If you have questions about the bail process, financing options, payment plans, possible discounts, or the court process, please feel free to call us anytime to discuss them. We will not pressure you and we promise to treat you with respect and compassion. Call us today at 888-767-2245 or 888-SOS-BAIL.

Once a bail bond has been posted at the banning jail, you can expect release times to take approximately 2-4 hours once a bail bonds has been posted. Because the jail is located in a residential area they prefer released inmates to be picked up by friends or family. You can check in at the guard post pictured in the above photograph and tell them you are there to pick up the defendant in question.
